In 1973 MB was born in a small German town, Brandenburg an der Havel.
The first musical steps as a keyboardist were in a synth pop-band called HEAVEN WONDER in 1992.
The second band BACKLINE, in wich MB first worked as a keyboardist, later as drummer, developed into a fixed musical force in the Berlin/Brandenburg area. BACKLINE even became the winner of the state rock competition of the state Brandenburg in 1998.
After the band's dissolution in 2004, a longer musical break and rediscovery phase followed.
The project TO DIE IN BEAUTY, wich can be found in the field of indie pop / electronic rock began in 2021. Allie Lane joined in 2024 and took the project to an new level with her great voice, as evidenced by their first joint single "Cold".
The exclusively English-language songs, some of wich still come from the musical early years in the early 90s, deal with interpersonal as well as social and political topics, without imposing a certain opinion, but rather encouraging reflection and telling stories.
